The documentary film Rio Verde explores the conflict that occurred between Uruguay and Argentina in 2003, when the Finnish firm Botnia built an industrial paper mill on the shores of the river Uruguay. The river borders between countries, and while Uruguayans got some employment, Argentinians were outraged at a perceived environmental violation.

Who is right and who is wrong? Don’t expect a definite answer in this documentary, but be ready to hear the two sides of the argument and decide for yourself.
